Bloom
Springs run full, butterflies flit between the flowers and petals drift over the valley.
The Harrow reaped Fallow to ash. Plant a heartseed, befriend the odd little creatures who still live there, and turn a grey valley green again, one hex at a time.

Plant a heartseed on bare ash and watch the green creep outward, hex by hex. Seeds need water and a little tending. Grow one into a sapling and then a young tree, and its reach grows with it.
Only green land can be built on, so every burrow, kiln and lamp is a small win over the grey.

Burrows and nests to sleep in, a ropewalk, a kiln, a treat kitchen. Your creatures work, snack, nap and chat by themselves. You set the pace and they take it from there.
While you’re away the valley rests, and only good things happen: the green keeps growing and expeditions come home with finds.
Each species has its own job, its own favourite food and its own quirks. Keep them fed and happy, and best friends start families.
Fern-eared and fluffy. Gathers fibre and twists it into rope.
See-through and slippery. Keeps the springs running and the seeds watered.
Armoured and stubborn. Digs stone and stamps out embers no one else can touch.
Big, soft and slow. Its hum quiets the Ring and soothes sick creatures.
Picks old rust fields clean and brings home keepsakes.
Chews through glassed ground and turns it back into soil.

More species are on the way: every region you green will bring new friends to befriend.

It belongs to the Harrow, it doesn’t say a word, and it glows in the dark. Will you tend to it? Its family might come looking.
When the Harrow visits, your creatures hide and wait it out. Nobody gets hurt. Prefer it quiet? There’s a fully peaceful mode.

Springs run full, butterflies flit between the flowers and petals drift over the valley.

Dry winds. Seeds drink twice as much, so fill the cisterns while you can.

Icicles under the eaves, frozen wells, and an aurora on clear nights.

Green the regions around it and the great tree stirs, dreams, and finally wakes. Then it speaks, and gives you its great seed.
Plant it beyond the valley walls to grow a whole new valley, and bring three favourites along.
Second Spring is in development and will keep growing long after launch. Here’s what we’re working towards.
Plans, not promises: what we build next depends a lot on what you tell us.
Second Spring is made by a tiny studio, and players shape what comes next. Tell us what you love, what confuses you and what you’d like to see. We read everything.
Leave your e-mail and we’ll let you know when Second Spring is out on your phone, tablet, Mac or in your browser, when there’s a big update, or when a playtest opens. Nothing else.
We send one mail to confirm first. Unsubscribe any time with one click. See our privacy policy.
